Can I cut out shapes like circles?

Currently, our tool is designed for standard, professional rectangular and square crops. Perfect circle cropping is highly specific and usually handled by the social media app (like Twitter) after you upload a solid square.

What are aspect ratio presets?

They lock the shape of your crop box. A 16:9 preset locks the box into a wide cinematic rectangle (perfect for YouTube). A 1:1 preset forces a perfect square (perfect for Instagram posts).

Is my original photo deleted when I crop?

Never. We don't touch your original files on your hard drive. We generate a brand new, separate cropped copy for you to download, leaving your original photo totally safe.

Does this work offline?

Because everything runs locally in your web browser, once the page loads, the actual cropping action doesn't require an active internet connection or server upload.

Why hasn't the file size gotten smaller?

Usually, cropping does reduce file size because you're deleting pixels. But if you crop a JPG and the tool saves it at a higher quality setting than the original, the file size can occasionally stay the same.
