Privacy Policy

ToolsDock ("we", "our", "us") provides free online tools at toolsdock.in. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the site, why, and what choices you have. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell personal information.

Most tools, including the calculators, text tools, developer tools, image tools and the PDF merge, split, rotate and delete-pages tools, run entirely in your browser. The text, numbers and files you enter into them stay on your device and are not sent to our servers.

A small number of tools need server-side processing. PDF to Excel and Word to PDF send the file you select, over an encrypted HTTPS connection, to our conversion service so it can produce the converted file for you. The tool's page says so where it applies. Please do not upload documents you are not comfortable sending to an online conversion service, such as documents containing sensitive personal or financial details.

The currency converter requests exchange rates from a third-party rates service from your browser, so that provider can see your IP address as it would for any web request. No amount you type is sent.

Like any website, our hosting and security providers (including Cloudflare) process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages requested, to deliver the site, keep it secure and prevent abuse.

If you allow analytics cookies (see below), Google Analytics collects aggregated usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We use it to understand which tools are useful and to improve the site. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally.

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply.

Essential storage: we store your cookie choice and display preferences (for example light or dark theme) in your browser's local storage. These do not track you across sites.

Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies to measure how the site is used. If your browser's time zone suggests you are in Europe (as a proxy for the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), analytics cookies stay off until you choose. Elsewhere, analytics is on by default and you can turn it off at any time. We use Google Consent Mode, so when you decline, Google does not set analytics cookies and receives only limited, non-identifying signals.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. Blocking cookies does not stop the tools from working.

ToolsDock does not currently show advertisements. We may apply to display ads through Google AdSense in the future. If we do, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including ads based on your prior visits to this or other sites. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it through a consent tool before any advertising cookies are set, and we will update this policy before ads go live.

You can manage personalised advertising at any time through Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) and learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Besides Google Analytics and Cloudflare, the site uses a content management service (Sanity) to deliver blog content and images, and may load open-source libraries from public content delivery networks. These providers receive standard request information such as your IP address when your browser fetches their files, and are governed by their own privacy policies.

Our pages may link to other websites. We do not control their content or privacy practices.

You can change your analytics choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the EU and UK GDPR, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold very little personal data, the main request that applies is usually about emails you have sent us. Contact us at contact@toolsdock.in and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our analytics account settings. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and keep a reasonable record of support. Files you process in browser-based tools are not stored by us because they never leave your device.

ToolsDock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy when our practices change, for example if we start showing ads. The date below shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be noted on this page.
