Cash Zakat Calculator
Calculate Zakat on your cash, bank savings, and liquid assets. Simple and accurate Zakat calculation for Muslims.
Accurate Zakat for Liquid Assets
In the modern world, most of our wealth isn't held in gold bullion or livestock; it's held digitally in bank accounts. Cash, whether it's physically sitting in your wallet or deposited in a savings account, is fully subject to Zakat once it meets the Nisab threshold.
Our Cash Zakat Calculator is built to be as minimal and straightforward as possible. Instead of tracking multiple different assets, you simply input your total liquid cash reserves, and the tool immediately calculates the exact 2.5% obligation required to purify your wealth.
The Silver Nisab Standard
When calculating Zakat purely on cash, most modern Islamic scholars recommend using the silver Nisab threshold (the value of 612.36 grams of silver) rather than the gold Nisab.
Because silver is currently much vastly cheaper than gold, the silver threshold is much lower. Using the lower silver threshold means that more people will qualify to pay Zakat, ensuring that a larger amount of charity is distributed to the poor and needy.
